Earth Works Survey and Drafting is an earthworks consulting and surveying company based on the West Shore, serving projects across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

I'm Adam Moser, the owner and operator of Earth Works. My background combines hands-on experience in earthmoving and heavy equipment with formal training in Civil Engineering.

Built from the Field Up

I've always been drawn to heavy equipment and the work involved in building projects. Growing up on a grain farm, I developed a strong work ethic and started operating heavy equipment at a young age.

I got into earthmoving at 16, working my way from labourer to equipment operator, grademan, and foreman. That experience gave me a practical understanding of how construction projects come together and what it takes to get the work done in the field.

I later pursued a diploma and degree in Civil Engineering, combining that hands-on experience with technical training. Since then, I've worked on a range of projects including roads, rail, landfills, bridges, Ministry projects, and marine construction.

That combination of field experience and technical knowledge is what I bring to Earth Works.

Connecting the Design to the Field

Having worked around heavy equipment, I understand that technical information needs to do more than look good on a plan — it needs to work in the machine and on the ground.

My focus is on providing accurate, practical information that helps contractors, engineers, developers, and project teams build efficiently, reduce uncertainty, and make informed decisions.

Vancouver Island projects often come with challenging ground conditions, from rock and steep terrain to constantly changing site conditions. Having accurate, reliable information can make all the difference.

My goal is simple: to be a reliable part of the project team, connecting the technical side of a project with what is happening in the field.

Whether it's construction layout, grade control, earthwork quantities, drafting, or reality capture, I aim to provide practical solutions that help keep projects moving.
